English for International Law

English for International Law is a conversation course which focuses on issues related to Law. This course was formulated specifically for Lawyers and Law Students. The didactic material uses a communicative approach to motivate the student to act in situations which represent daily events in the field of Law, such as: file complaints, understand and draft contracts, write legal letters, negotiate with clients and in court, give legal advice, participate in lawsuits in a courtroom setting, make and receive phone calls from clients, among others.

This course focuses on conversation, reading, writing, and special purpose vocabulary of Legal English. Topics include legal procedures, indemnification for damages and losses, contracts, due diligence, torts, environmental law, family law, labor law, among other topics. The goal is to stimulate students to constantly want to perfect their studies in Legal English.
